A birthday layout + tutorial

Hi All!! Welcome to my blog. I made a birthday layout for my special one who is turning 26.I made these with the papericious march launch Ephemera and Naturals Collection. Both were sent to me generously by Aastha Jain for a giveaway winning. Here goes my layout:

Let's look at the step by step pics of how I created this:

I took one sheet from naturals collection and one from Ephemera Collection.

I took the sheet from naturals collection and tear it so that the floral designs and the borders in ephemera gets highlighted.Using distresser tool gave a aged look and distressed the borders with vintage photo.

I glued the above one over the floral sheet.

Took the Torn sheets and distressed it with mermaid lagoon and vintage photo (the blending made it look like somewhat greenish aged look).

Took a patterned paper(I dont remember the brand) and added the torn distressed sheets as border to it.

I Pasted that to the sheets.

I took die cut alphabets and felt alphabets from itsy bitsy.Felt alphabets used for initials ,I applied acrylic paints and for other die cut alphabets distressed it with spiced marmalade, peacock feathers, abandoned coral, meramaid lagoon and blended many colors for the rest of alphabets. The numbers are burlap embellishments and applied acrylic colors to it.

I made handmade flowers from Fabriano colored papers and added golden balls to it.

Added die cut elements like rose ,butterfly and smile from Ephemera collection and added a dream papericious button.I took some chip board cut outs stars and butterflies from itsy bitsy and colored them with acrylics and added it.Finally added some sparkle to it with golden glitters on the numbers and initials of alphabets.
